When children are regularly involved in acting, they're building a presence about themselves. They're acquiring leadership, presentation and communication skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Shy children get the opportunity to open up and feel more positive. Gifted children find an outlet for their creativity and energy.

Acting call
The Acting call works on the scenes and dialogue or "Book" that link the songs and dances. It is lead by a professional Director and includes the following sections:
Acting warm-up - This is a series of drama-based games which aim to relax and focus the children so that they are able to immerse themselves in their created characters.
Drama techniques - A short section preparing the children for the specific requirements of the material to be covered. These might include trust work, character development and vocal projection.
New material - The main part of the session is concerned with learning the scenes and dialogue which will appear in the finished performance. Starting with individual lines and blocking, the Director will progress to more detailed performance notes on areas such as character, physicality and accents.
Recap and consolidation - A final section during which the children run through what they have learned this week and previously.
